That moment when you realise the worst day in your life does not matter to two people standing in the same yard arguing over a box. It seems like a depressing thought but it not necessarily is.

Some police trivia you don't need to read this comic but might enjoy anyway:

* Trident (Trident Gang Crime Command) - a Metropolitan police unit focused on investigating gang crime (and at this point in the story, fatal shootings). And no, they do not want this case.

** Kennels: police used to take stray dogs from the public and temporarily house them in the kennels in the back yard where they'd be looked after and later passed to the RSPCA or local shelters. After budget cuts and new "Service Level Agreements" cops are no longer allowed to do it and have to tell the public to take strays to shelters themselves, much to mutual frustration. The kennels stand unused, or rather used for storage.

This page took a while but I've been waiting for this moment for a long time too! A lot has changed over the last month - I lost my old job, found a new freelance job I like a lot and that alone lifted a lot of weight. So I'll still be slow for some time (I'd like to brush the old pages up a bit while working on the new pages) but all in all I'm more hopeful and enthusiastic than I've been in a loooong time.

Oof, I feel like he talks to Chance because that's how his dad probably talked to him growing up :( :( :( :(

UGHGHNNNNN BUT THE PAAAAAAAGE I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE THISSSSSSS

I feel like the inking is especially expressive here and I love the rendering of the evidence box (though I'm nervous it's going to burst or break open because of how they're handling it in the last panel and then all the gory evidence photos get spread around on the ground D: D: )

@mitchellbravo: You know my guys too well! But yeaaah, Nutter is good at finding where to poke so it hurts, and he's so used to doing it to get a result fast he doesn't really register it as hurting someone.

Haha, I wouldn't want to unnerve you (or anyone!) and I'm considering some sort of content warnings in the future but I also can't help thinking "WOULDN'T THAT BE A COOL PANEL THO" right now.
